About this ancestry
Umbreon is a mammalian Pokémon which has a sleek, black body with four slender legs and crimson eyes. It has two pairs of pointed teeth (one pair in each jaw) which are visible when its mouth is open. It has long, pointed ears and a bushy tail, each with a yellow band around them. Its forehead and legs have yellow rings on them.
When agitated or angry, Umbreon protects itself by spraying poisonous sweat from its pores at its target's eyes. Its rings glow faintly but ominously when it is in the dark, excited, or pounces to attack, striking fear in the hearts of anyone nearby. They also glow on the night of a full moon, with the Moon's aura filling Umbreon with a mysterious power. Its Evolution is the result of Eevee being exposed to moonlight, which altered its genetic structure. It silently hides in the dark with its black fur while waiting for its foes to make a move or hunting for food. It bides its time until its prey appears and lunges for its throat before eating it. Umbreon's large eyes allow it to see clearly in total darkness. It is rare in the wild and is more commonly found in urban areas under the ownership of other Pokémon Trainers. As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep, it is known to be difficult to find while it sleeps during the night because it is nocturnal.[1]
