A strange mutated creature - shaped like a panther but formed entirely out of rainforest vines and leaves. Hides in the undergrowth to ambush unsuspecting victims.

This is an ambush predator for a forest or jungle setting. In the world of Merithaya, these are found on the continent of Eonalon in the Veridia rainforest. They often hunt in packs, and prey on unwary travellers in the forest.

    Make an attack roll against a target that cannot see the Panther. On a success, spend a Fear to deal 3d4+10 damage and cause the target to mark a Stress.

    Mark a stress to force a target within Very Close range to make an Agility reaction roll. On a fail, that target is Vulnerable until they make a successful Strength action roll.

    When the Panther takes damage from an attack, and is within Very Close range of forest undergrowth (tree/bush etc) mark a Stress to have the Panther retreat into the undergrowth and become stealthed. While stealthed, it cannot be targeted by attacks or abilities, and cannot be seen. On its next spotlight, it may perform a Forest Ambush from any vegetation within Close range.
