You come from a community that is intensely reliant on magic. This could be a community that made a pact with an otherworldly power in exchange for safety or prosperity. It could be a community that maintains proximity to a natural arcane reservoir. It could be a community that was assembled by spellcasters or other magical beings in order to advance some kind of magical agenda.

Whatever the case may be, you come from a place where intense magical application was the norm. Even the most mundane activities are supplemented by magic, where you come from, and the extraordinary is just a regular part of everyday life.

You might be a tinkerer, or a researcher, on a quest of discovery, or in search of rare magical components. Whatever the case may be, you left the strange comforts of home to venture beyond the world you knew.
