Student of the Sword
Gain access to the following six styles. When you take the spotlight, you can change your style and gain it‘s benefits.

Water Style
When you roll to attack, you may raise or lower the result of one of your die by one. In addition you may spend 1 stress to switch your stance instantly.

Fire
You may add a number of d6’s equal to your tier to your damage rolls

Earth
When attacked, make a reaction roll using your weapons’ trait. On a success, roll your weapons damage dice and reduce the damage by its result

Lightning
Instead of a normal attack roll, you may make three attack rolls to a target or targets in range of you, and instead of rolling damage, deal 1 HP damage to each of them for each success.

Wind
Whenever an enemy within very close range would move, you may move with them, remaining within very close range of their endpoint. In addition, gain +2 evasion.

Wood
You can spend 2 Hope to recover 2 Stress.

Duelist (v0.6)’s Hope Feature
Perfect Parry : Spend 3 Hope when successfully attacked to interrupt your attackers turn and instead make a single attack of your own against them.

Water Style

Foundation Features
- Prodigy: You may choose any two stances and combine their effects into a single, personalized stance.
- Pride: Whenever you defeat an adversary, regain one stress.
Specialization Feature
- Meditations: During a short rest, when you take the clear stress move, you can practice an art or meditation and clear all stress instead.
- Artiste: You may choose any two stances (from the original list of six) and combine their effects into a second personalized stance.
Mastery Feature
- Martial Master: You may choose any three stances (from the original list of six) and combine their effects into a third personalized stance.
Iaidoka
Sometimes, all you need is one really good strike.
Spellcast Trait
Finesse
Foundation Features
- Strike as Lightning: Spend a hope and choose a target within Very Close range. Make a finesse reaction roll using your spell casting trait, if you succeed, you critically succeed instead. If you fail, your target may make a critical attack against you instead.
Specialization Feature
- Staredown: You may spend Stress to increase your Strike as Lighting check at a rate of 1 for 1.
Mastery Feature
- Deathblow: Before using Strike as Lightening, you may declare the strike to be a Deathblow. On a success, the target marks 5 HP. On a fail, make any death move besides blaze of glory.
- Eighth Gate Technique: When choosing the blaze of glory death move, if your final attack defeats an enemy, you may instead recover 1 HP and keep fighting instead of dying.
