This huge creature appears to be a bear, cursed by vile magic at the point of its death to rise again.
The lumbering beast appears to be a very large grizzly bear. Its eyes are red in tint, but dull and hazed over. Tears in the creature’s flesh show the bone beneath, but the creature doesn’t bleed. An eerie spectral mist seems to flow with its every move. The creature is surely not natural.
This adversary can be spotlighted up to 2 times per GM turn. Spend Fear as usual to spotlight them.
Spend a Fear to have the Cursed Guardian throw their head back and roar out a ghastly howl. All targets within Close range must make a Presence reaction roll or become Vulnerable until they clear an HP or a Stress.
When this adversary makes a successful attack against a PC, you gain a Fear.
The Cursed Guardian inflicts an additional 2d6 physical damage against Restrained targets.
The Guardian can mark a Stress to grab an opponent that was struck by its Maul attack this turn. An opponent that is grabbed is Restrained until they can succeed on a Strength action roll.
