    • What sounds reverberate throughout the thicket?
  • Hotbed For Diseases - Passive

  • Monkey Business - Action

A troop of mischievous apes attempts to steal something from a PC. The PC must succeed on an Instinct Roll to notice the hairy thieves or lose an item of the GM's choice as the monkeys begin climbing up the trees to a Close distance. The PCs must complete a Progress Countdown (4) to catch the thief or convince it to return the stolen property.

    Questions

    • Are they willing to trade for returning the item?

Reactions

When a PC fails an action while at a large height, such as when climbing a tree, you can spend a Fear to summon a Tangle Bramble Swarm on the ground below them and have them fall in Melee range of it. They don't take any damage from the fall, but the Swarm immediately takes the spotlight.

    Questions
    • How does the PC feel in the moments between an assumed safe landing and the realization?
    • What other prey has previously fallen victim to the ravenous swarm?
