Vine-Wrapped Revenant

Adversary overview

A hulking mass of vines and thorns, surrounding a corpse of a once loyal soldier. Now, its green glowing eyes search out those who would desecrate the land it once guarded.

The Vine-Wrapped Revenant is a hulking monster, formed when Awakened Vines encounter the body of a Veridian soldier that had a particularly strong desire to defend their home. This interacts with the magic sustaining the vines, combining the two to form a Revenant. These then guard the area the soldier was defending, become vengeful towards any who they perceive to threaten the area.

Good to use as a mini-boss monster after a jungle adventure in Veridia featuring Leafcloak Panthers and Awakened Vines.

Mark a Stress to swap from Defensive stance to Revenge stance. While in Defensive stance attacks against it are at disadvantage. While in Revenge stance, its Rusted Greatsword attack is a 2d10+5 damage instead of d8s. The Revenant begins in Defensive stance.

  • Vengeful Strike (Revenge Stance Only)
