Adversary overview

Craggy pebbles tumble from dashing legs as a mutated bipedal bird sprints towards its prey.

The result of a wizard’s ill-conceived experiment to create heartier chickens by magically combining it with a basic rock. An Aatrok is a large bipedal bird with pebbles perpetually growing from, and tumbling out of, its legs. Known colloquially as a “squawker”, the Aatrok is capable of emitting a psychically charged burst of sound that disorients predators. They also use their “squawk” to draw worms and other prey out of the dirt. Despite their size, these are nimble creatures that can easily outrun most humanoids.
