Adversary overview

A small elemental composed of smoldering cinders and ash, constantly emitting heat and choking fumes.

Candle and Cinder Wretches are the scorched remnants of mortals who perished in the Emberwrought Reaper’s wildfires: spirits so angry, so hot with vengeance, that their souls refused to pass on. Now, they shamble through the ash, trailing smoke, choking the air with every breathless hiss. They burn from within, their skin cracked like volcanic rock, and their mouths spill embers with every snarling moan.

Some say the Emberwrought Reaper can call the dead to rise in flame, binding the souls of those who resisted him. Others believe these wretches are volunteers: fanatics who burned themselves alive in his name. Either way, they’re nasty little horrors you do not want crawling out of the cinders behind you.
