Dreammantis Monarch
A giant praying manis covered in shimmering dust.
Motives & Tactics: Ambush, evade, decapitate
A giant praying manis covered in shimmering dust.
This is a very dangerous fey creature, would not recommend sending multiple out against a party unless they have a very tanky team comp evasion stacking plus the ability to mark hitpoints directly can quickly snowball. I would reccomend being careful on how much fear you spend with a creature that can technically kill a players if they fail a strength roll, telegraph that ability on a friendly or neutral npc before using it on a player etc.
While flying the creature gains a +3 evasion along with any characters riding it, making no sound and giving advantage to any checks to stay hidden.
While a target is grabbed you can mark a stress to bite causing the target to mark 1d4 hit points. If the target marks their final hitpoint their head is consumed killing the target.
Action Mark a stress to grab a target (restrained) unless they succeed on a Strength (18) reaction roll.
Uses: 2 When a creature targets the creature they must succeed on a Instinct reaction roll (18) or be unable to distinguish it from its illusions.
