A horned draconid with a venomous forked tail.
Forktail is a give and take between flight and ground combat. While flying, the Forktail has a difficulty of 18. While landed, it’s reduced to 15. But if forced to land via Grounded, it gains advantage on attack rolls.
While flying, the Forktail gains a +3 bonus to their Difficulty.
When the Forktail takes Severe damage, they become Grounded until the next roll with Fear. While Grounded, the Forktail cannot fly and has advantage on targets in Melee range.
Make an attack against a target within Very Close range. On a success, spend a Fear to deal 2d6 physical damage and Poison them until their next rest or they succeed on a Knowledge Roll (16). While Poisoned, the target takes 1d10 direct physical damage each time they act.
When the Forktail takes damage from an attack within Close range, mark a Stress to move into Melee range and make an attack against the attacker. On a success, the target takes 2d8 physical damage and must must mark an Armor Slot without receiving its benefits (they can still use armor to reduce the damage). If they can’t mark an Armor Slot, they must mark an additional HP.
