    The Broker offers information at a cost beyond coin. PCs may gain a crucial secret or lead, but the Broker demands they accept a favor owed. If the PCs refuse, the Broker expected this outcome and has already planned for it; you gain four Fear.

    “You think I’d offer this for gold? No, no. I trade in rarer currencies- regret, guilt, and the promises people can’t afford to keep.”

    When the Broker is accused, cornered, or caught in deception, they may mark a Stress to redirect suspicion toward another target in the scene.
