Mama Mulusepa – Day Persona
Adversary overview
A distorted vision of the quintessential grandma, with bulging frog-like eyes, a mouth too-wide, and an apron embroidered with purple-flowered vines.
Mama Mulusepa was once a powerful Faint Divinity in the Fanewick region of the Witherwild campaign frame. She had many other names, the most common being “She Who Fulfills Guilty Pleasures and Abhorrent Desires.” Since the invasion of Haven she has reawakened and sightings have become increasingly common.
She has three forms, or “personas”: Day, Night and Hunger. During the week-long daytime, she appears as a docile old human grandmother who is eager to indulge your desires of food, drink, laziness and possessions. At night, she appears as a seductive forest dryad who aggressively insists on satiating inebriation, lust and sadism. The hunger persona appears as a giant slug, snail or salamander, sometimes with the head of an old woman, and it merely wishes to consume. It typically appeared at dusk, though it was known to appear at any time of day on rare occasions.
Mama Mulusepa’s Day Persona can be found in a mysterious cabin deep in the wilderness, where she is typically busy baking her irresistible cookies. She will attempt to entice as many visitors to eat her cookies as possible, thus gaining influence over them during future encounters. The Day Persona will fight only as a last resort. If she becomes threatened, she will find a way to get out of sight, and then mysteriously disappears.
{Mama Mulusepa in all of her forms will appear in “The Crypt of Contempt,” my upcoming adventure for the Witherwild campaign frame.}
