Mama Mulusepa – Night Persona

Adversary overview

This form of the ancient Faint Divinity resembles a green-skinned, sensuous dryad with human or elven features riding on a wave of thick spiky vines.

Mama Mulusepa was once a powerful Faint Divinity in the Fanewick region of the Witherwild campaign frame. She had many other names, the most common being “She Who Fulfills Guilty Pleasures and Abhorrent Desires.” Since the invasion of Haven she has reawakened and sightings have become increasingly common.

She has three forms, or “personas”: Day, Night and Hunger. During the week-long daytime, she appears as a docile old human grandmother who is eager to indulge your desires of food, drink, laziness and possessions. At night, she appears as a seductive forest dryad who aggressively insists on satiating inebriation, lust and sadism. The hunger persona appears as a giant slug, snail or salamander, sometimes with the head of an old woman, and it merely wishes to consume. It typically appeared at dusk, though it was known to appear at any time of day on rare occasions.

Mama Mulusepa’s Night Persona is considered the most treacherous of all her forms. Those who catch sight of her, and survive to tell the tale, describe a sense of dread and temptation that envelopes her like dark shadows. Those who are seduced by her are never seen again. If she is threatened, she will toy with her adversaries before she deals the final death blow.

{Mama Mulusepa in all of her forms will appear in “The Crypt of Contempt,” my upcoming adventure for the Witherwild campaign frame.}
