Features

Passives

  • In My Debt

Obligated PCs have Disadvantage on all social Action Rolls made against him until they succeed on a Presence Roll (20) to publicly renounce the debt or until they offer something of equal or greater value in return.

“You’ve dined at my table, taken my wine, and now you would raise your voice against me? Let’s not pretend gratitude isn’t a kind of leash.”

Actions

  • False Magnanimity
    stress 1

The Lord may mark a Stress in order to perform a show of generosity for the party such as forgiving a crime, granting a favor or making a stirring toast. When he does, select an appropriate number of PCs. Those PCs become Obligated to the Noble Lord.

“Consider this matter forgiven. The realm remembers loyalty… and those who owe it.”

  • Call the Guard!

Once per scene, spend a Fear in order to summon 1d4 + the number of PCs worth of Bladed Guards to enter the scene at Far Range to enforce the Noble Lord's will.

"Enough talk. Guards- show our guests the price of insolence.”

  • Call the Banners!

A threat to the realm has been identified and it is time to act! The Lord declares a call to arms, rallying the forces and vassals under his banner. When this feature is Spotlighted, begin a Long Term Countdown (8) and describe how the Lord begins to mobilize his forces. You gain four Fear.

“Then so be it. I’ll have no more words on the matter. Sound the horns. Ride to every hold and hamlet- let my banners fly, and let them remember who rules these lands.”

Reactions

  • Public Rebuke
    fear 1

When confronting a Noble Lord and a PC fails a social Action Roll or rolls with Fear while making a social Action Roll, you may spend a Fear to cause the Lord to twists their words before witnesses. The PC marks two Stress and becomes Disgraced. While Disgraced, the PC cannot gain Hope in any fashion in any scene they share with the Noble Lord until the disgrace is addressed by succeeding on a Presence Roll (18) and explaining their actions.
“How quaint. Did you rehearse that speech, or was the foolishness spontaneous?”
