Few things terrify players like potentially losing their stuff. The Obsessive Collector is all about taking what’s useful and thoughtfully categorizing it in its lair, potentially offering an adventure hook if one or more of them made off with the PC’s equipment. Since this is a particularly punishing effect, spending 2 Fear feels like an appropriate expenditure to steal an item. On the other hand, cunning PCs might figure out its Curiosity feature and be willing to part with something not as valuable in order to avoid losing what’s most precious to them. Use this creature in groups or protected by Bruisers and tougher adversaries to give it a better chance to sneak in and Pilfer from Stunned targets.
If a useful item is left out for an Obsessive Collector and it hasn't been attacked or interfered with, it will take the item and depart without further conflict.
While a creature the Obsessive Collector in Engaged with is Stunned, you can Spend 2 Fear to have it take a useful item from the target. The Obsessive Collector then attempts to flee with that item, but will drop it if it takes Major or greater damage.
When an Obsessive Collector hits with its Face Light attack, it can mark a Stress to deal an extra d8 of damage and cause the target to be Stunned. While Stunned, a creature is Restrained and can't take any action until it succeeds on an Instinct roll.
