Slurpasaur

Adversaries Designed by Eris • Art by Journey to the Center of the Earth

Adversary overview

A huge, predatory lizard with a sail on its back.

Slurpasaurs are titanic predators native to remote jungles, forgotten islands, and subterranean realms.
There are many different species of Slurpasaur with variant abilities, the one presented here is one of the most common.
The Slurpasaurs were largely unknown to scholarly records, due to most survivors having failed to pierce its odd magical camouflage, instead perceiving it to be some other creature, most frequently predatory dinosaurs.

  • Relentless (4)

This adversary can be spotlighted up to X times per GM turn. Spend Fear as usual to spotlight them.

  • Hallucinatory Mimicry

The Slurpasaur projects an illusion around itself at all times, making it appear to be another, similarly sized creature native to the same environment. Attack rolls and Knowledge rolls against the Slurpasaur are made at disadvantage until it uses its Slurp feature or its Mimicry is seen through with an Instinct roll.

  • Magic-Absorbing Sail

The Slurpasaur is Resistant to Magical damage. If a magical attack against the Slurpasaur fails with Fear, clear a marked hit point.

Actions

  • Slurp
    stress 1
