Yian Kut-ku
A bird wyvern with a large upper jaw and quick on its feet.
Motives & Tactics: Dash, Light aflame, Scramble
A bird wyvern with a large upper jaw and quick on its feet.
Typically the monster that marks a hunter’s journey to be officially recognized. Just difficult enough to ward off those who are not quite ready yet.
The Yian Kut-ku can be spotlighted up to 2 times per GM turn. Spend Fear as usual to spotlight them.
Spend a Fear and choose a point within Far range. A ball of flame explodes in a Very Close area around that point. All targets within that area must make an Agility Reaction Roll (13). Targets who fail take 2d10 magical damage and are thrown out of the area. Targets who succeed take half damage and aren't moved.
Move the Yian Kut-ku up to Close range and make a standard attack against up to 2 targets the Kut-ku passes by. On a success, deal 2d8+4 physical damage and the target must mark a Stress.
Mark a Stress to force all targets within Close range to make a Strength Reaction Roll (13). Targets that fail take 1d20 physical damage.
When the Yian Kut-ku makes a successful attack against a PC, you gain a Fear.
