About this ancestry
Boarians are are humanoids with pig-like features, such as snouts, tusks, tails, cloven feet, and thick hides. However, some of these features carry depending on the specific Boarian. Boarian snouts can be pressed up against the face, like the noses of other creatures, or extend off the face for a few inches. Boarian tails can either be short, curly tails, or longer, straight tails, with prehensile capabilities. Some Boarians might not have tails at all.
Boarian tusks can keep close to the face, or extend outward. Tusks greater than a foot long are unusual, since at that point, the tusks begin to weigh down all but the strongest of Boarians. Maintaining their tusks is something most Boarians do. Even if they have short tusks, if the Boarian in question wants to keep them short, they have to manage that. Some Boarians like to decorate their tusks with markings, or decoration, and some shape their tusks in unusual ways, either for aesthetic, or practical purposes.
Young Boarians tend to have shorter tusks, which will grow in time. The tusks of an elder Boarian stop growing after a certain point, and thus only need to maintain their shape, and sharpness. Boarians as a whole tend to be rotund, even if they are small in stature. Younger Boarians tend to be a little thinner than their older counterparts, but still appear wider than other Ancestries of similar ages. Elder Boarians also tend to lose a little thickness, and thus their wrinkles are more pronounced. The wideness of Boarians is not an indication of weakness; far from it. They have a thick hide, which, along with their tough tusks, allows them to brush off any damage they might take easier. Their cloven feet help them maintain steadiness, which allows them to put their full force behind any action they take. And since they are big for their size, it makes for a greater impact.
