About this ancestry
I mainly think of Fluff Fang and the other Leshy from Paizo's Pathfinder 2E A Fistful of Flowers and A Few Flowers More duology. The second feature is also meant to be similar to the Fungril, but has similar limits as not all plants have deep roots and the feature is nearly useless underground.
When it comes to Castle High or other settings with advanced technology, how do Plantkin work with technology? Some are likely to have a reasonable fear of lawn care tools.
As far as classes and equipment, go crazy. No one except maybe your GM will stop you from wearing straight up scale mail made from walnuts and carry a shield made of a mushroom cap. Oh maybe you were made in a more structured manner such as in and academic setting, so you use good old steel and traditional armor.
Frankly this is meant to be a fun Im a little Plant Man ancestry.

Photosynthesis: As long as you spend 1 hour or more in direct sunlight, you do not need to eat for the day. You still need to sleep and consume water.
Root Network: Make an Instinct Roll (12) to use your roots to speak with others of your ancestry. On a success, you can communicate across any distance. This also allows you to communicate with plants that have a root network.
