About this class
Cursewrights master forbidden knowledge. They form dark circles in hidden grottos. They are not always trusted to do the right thing, but known to be powerful in their ways. Their enemies are always weakened. Whether they are a scholar, heretic, or haunted archivist, the Cursewright is always writing down something.

Rune of Disdain
Mark a Stress to choose an ally within Close range and create a dark rune surrounding them. When an adversary moves into Very Close range of that target, you can cause your rune to erupt, forcing them to make a reaction roll with a Difficulty of 10 + your level. On a failure, they take d10 magic damage using your Proficiency and are temporarily Restrained.

Cursewright’s Hope Feature
Writ of Undoing : Spend 3 Hope to make an adversary within Close range Cursed. While Cursed their next attack has disadvantage and the next attack against them has advantage. The curse fades immediately after both effects have occurred or at the end of the scene.

Choose either the Inkveil or Woe Scribe subclass.
Inkveil
Play the Inkveil if you want to empower your allies with your dark runes and shadow-touched magics.
Spellcast Trait

Foundation Features
- Inky Sustain: Your protective magic is always at your side. Gain an additional Hit Point slot.
- Cursed Strength: Describe how your dark magic bolsters your allies. Once per rest, you and all allies in Close range gain a Hope or clear a Stress.
Specialization Feature
- Rune of Reversal: The target that currently has your Rune of Distain surrounding them gains a 1 bonus to their Proficiency for damage rolls.
Mastery Feature
- Invoke Fervor: Once per long rest, you can make a willing ally within Far range Fervorous until they take Severe damage or the scene ends. While Fervorous that ally gains the following benefits: 1) They gain a 1 bonus to their Evasion. 2) Their damage thresholds each increase by 2. 3) They gain a 1 bonus to their Proficiency for damage rolls.
Woe Scribe
Play the Woe Scribe if you want to take advantage of your adversaries’ fear and use their pain against them.

Foundation Features
- Infernal Pressure: You live under the weight of your knowledge. Gain an additional Stress slot.
- Frightful Magics: When you succeed with Fear on an attack roll you can force the target to mark a Stress in addition to the damage dealt.
Specialization Feature
- CursedWave: Once per rest, you can spend a Hope and make a Spellcast Roll against all targets within Close range. All targets you succeed against take d10 8 magic damage using your Proficiency and become temporarily Vulnerable.
Mastery Feature
- Curse Siphon: On a successful Attack roll against an adversary that currently has a condition you can mark a Stress to remove their condition and add 2d20 to your damage roll.
