Harbinger
About this class
Harbingers stand where hope and catastrophe meet.
Fear follows them—not because they necessarily cause it, but because they have learned to recognize the moment when possibility begins to turn toward disaster.
Some Harbingers are prophets, survivors, cursed wanderers, or witnesses to events that should have killed them. Others carry no prophecy at all; the signs simply manifest around them through strange lights, impossible shadows, whispers, scars, dreams, or sudden changes in the world.
As danger grows, Harbingers gather Omens, echoes of the Fear accumulating around them. They can use these signs to bend uncertain outcomes in favor of themselves and their companions, but altering fate never comes freely. Every catastrophe avoided may give something darker another opportunity to emerge.
A Harbinger might become a symbol of salvation, a herald of destruction, or something caught eternally between the two.
