Effect

You can attach this stone to any weapon. The weapon gains the following feature. Amorphous: On a successful attack, you can spend a Hope to change the damage type of the current attack (physical to magical or magical to physical).

About this item

These stones erratically flicker between a clear or cracked appearance. Crafted from a special, magic induced mineral, Flickerstones are rarely found and notoriously unstable. Trying to detach it from it’s socket may backfire…quite literally.
By spending a Hope, one of the states of the Flickerstone is stabilized (clear/cracked), channeling parts of this structure onto the weapon.

This allows characters without a spellcast trait to deal magical damage. For spellcasters, reflavor how the originally magical weapon now deals physical damage (e.g. magical projectile now attracting gravel and debris from the surrounding)
