Chaos Origin

Spellcast Trait: Instinct

Play the Chaos Origin if you want to channel chaos magic in unpredictably powerful ways.

Foundation

Chaos Magic: When casting a spell, you may mark three stress to roll on the Chaos Magic table, and apply the result.

  1. Target marks a stress.

  2. Target is restrained, until the GM spends a Fear.

  3. You can move anywhere within Far range instantly.

  4. You gain a bonus to your Evasion equal to your Tier. This bonus lasts until your next spell.

  5. Roll 1d4+Tier, and clear that many Stress.

  6. Roll 1d4+Tier, and clear that many Hit Points

  7. You vanish, gaining the Hidden condition until you perform a noticeable or hostile action, or the GM spends a Fear.

  8. Target gains Vulnerability until the GM spends a Fear.

  9. Add an additional number of Targets within Far Range equal to your Tier.

  10. Instead of rolling dice, all variable values of the cast spell are maximized.

Specialization

Controlled Chaos: You may mark four stress to apply two different rolls from the Chaos Magic table to the same effect.

When rolling on the Chaos Magic table, you may roll twice and take the preferred result.

Mastery

Chaos Mastery: You may mark five stress to apply the effects of three different rolls on the Chaos Magic table.

You may roll three times on the Chaos Magic table and select the preferred result.

Chaotic Resurgence: Whenever you roll the highest value on a damage die from a spell, you may roll another die of the same value, and add the result. This effect can Cascade, meaning that this effect can stack and allow for chains.
