Painted Virtuoso
Spellcast Trait: PresenceArtful Stances: You know three stances:
Guarded Stance
Pressing Stance
Virtuoso Stance
At the beginning of each scene, enter either Guarded Stance or Pressing Stance.
During your action, you may spend 1 Poise to shift into another Artful Stance.
A stance lasts until you mark your last Hit Point, take Severe damage, the scene ends, or you enter another stance.
You can only be in one Artful Stance at a time unless a feature says otherwise.
You cannot begin a scene in Virtuoso Stance.
Guarded Stance
Gain +1 Evasion.
Once per round, when an adversary within Melee or Very Close range of you fails an attack roll, gain 1 Poise.
Pressing Stance
Whenever you trigger Opening Cut, choose one:
The target marks a Stress.
Add +1d6 to the damage roll.
If the attack rolled with Hope, the target becomes temporarily Vulnerable.
Virtuoso Stance
You may only enter Virtuoso Stance immediately after triggering Opening Cut.
Entering Virtuoso Stance costs 2 Poise instead of 1.
While in Virtuoso Stance:
Gain +1 to attack rolls made with one-handed Presence weapons.
Your Opening Cut damage dice become d8s instead of d6s.
Whenever Opening Cut deals Major or Severe damage, clear 1 Stress.
Whenever you roll with Fear on an attack while in Virtuoso Stance, after the attack resolves, immediately shift into either Guarded Stance or Pressing Stance without spending Poise.
Poise: During a rest, roll a number of d6s equal to your Presence trait, minimum 1.
Place a number of Poise on this card equal to the highest die rolled.
You can hold a maximum of 6 Poise.
Clear any remaining Poise whenever you roll for Poise again.
Seamless Tempo: Once per action, when you trigger Opening Cut and the attack succeeds with Hope, you may shift between Guarded Stance and Pressing Stance without spending Poise.
The shift occurs after the attack fully resolves.
You cannot use this feature while in Virtuoso Stance or during Grand Performance.
Perfect Entry: When you succeed with Hope on the attack that triggers Opening Cut, entering Virtuoso Stance immediately afterward costs 1 Poise instead of 2.
Grand Performance: Once per Rest, when you enter Virtuoso Stance, you may begin a Grand Performance.
Choose either Guarded Stance or Pressing Stance.
While Grand Performance lasts, you benefit from both Virtuoso Stance and the chosen stance simultaneously.
While Grand Performance is active:
Seamless Tempo is inactive.
When you would leave Virtuoso Stance because you rolled with Fear, you may spend 1 Poise to remain in Virtuoso Stance instead.
Once per action, when you trigger Opening Cut, choose one:
Add +1d6 to the damage roll.
Clear 1 Stress.
Grand Performance ends when the scene ends, you take Severe damage, or you leave Virtuoso Stance.
