School of Divination

About these subclasses

This subclass is inspired by the school in 5e, however, you have more control over your Portents. You obtain more and gain additional benefits that add support in tense moments. This subclass will give Advantage, remove Fear, and potentially keep your Portent rolls.

Portents are the most important part, as 2 out of the other 3 abilities synergize with it. So make sure to keep track and think carefully on when to use them.

Spellcast Trait: Knowledge

Play the School of Divination if you want to glimpse into Fate and alter outcomes.

Foundation

Portent: When you complete a rest, roll 2d12 and note the results as your Portents, replacing any existing Portents. You may replace any die roll with one of your Portents before the result is announced.

Oracle's Aid: When an ally spends Hope, you may mark a stress to give them Advantage on their next roll.

Specialization

Boon or Bane: Whenever you use a Portent on an ally and they succeed on the roll, you gain a Hope. If you use it on the GM and the roll fails, they lose a Fear.

Mastery

Master Oracle: You now gain an amount of Portents equal to your proficiency. Whenever you use one of your Portents, roll a d6. If the result is a 6, then the Portent die is not spent.
