The world has been saved. The immortal Emperor Valceon, along with the Aegisbound stopped the Cataclysm and ended the Cycle of Destruction of the World 300 years ago and created the safe and prosperous world of today. There are no monsters to ruin villages, and magic is highly regulated. The Empire’s Wardens ensure peace prevails. But this peace is not without a cost. The Valcenian Empire rules with an iron fist and those that step out of line are severely dealt with. Any rebellions that may form are quickly crushed. But the world is changing. Magic that was once thought sealed away is leaking back into the world. In a The World Between Ends campaign you’ll play as a group of heroes who start from humble beginnings who end up leaving their home to fight for what they believe, take on the tyrannical Valcenian Empire and deal with the return of magic and possibly save the world in the process. Every hero has a story, and every villain has a reason. What is the price of peace?
