About this ancestry
Harpies are winged humanoids with talons on their hands, bird-like legs, and a body more or less covered in feathers.
They average around 5-6 feet in height, which can change depending on their posture. Harpies' wings can be positioned on their back or replace their hands, the latter of which does little to hinder their handling of items, as their bird-like legs are equally dexterous. Though all harpies have the legs and wings of birds, the rest of their features can appear more or less beastly depending on their parentage. Some have fully or partially humanoid faces with a covering of feathers on parts of their body, while others appear as humanoid birds of various species altogether, indiscernible from their animal brethren at first glance.
Harpies are freedom-loving and independent folk who relish in the joy of flying and exploring the skies. Flamboyant and proud of their plumage, they maintain it with care and love. Many adorn themselves with accessories and piercings from their collection of shiny items, which they constantly seek to expand.
