These soldiers aren’t frontline fighters, they’re watchers, lurkers, and ambushers. Under the authority of the Overseer they use mirrored lanterns to spotlight slaves working the petal pattys, and outsiders attempting to close in on the Rig. However they are not melee fighters and will attempt to retreat if pressured.
When Spotlight Soldier catches a PC during a Lantern Sweep, the spotlight beam tracks that PC. PCs must succeed on a FIN/PRE roll to remove mark during their turn.
Spotlight Soldiers have natural Advantage on stealth while near lantern arrays.
Spotlight Soldiers can use the Rig for a safe fall from a balcony to ambush a PC below. This accounts for the main rig body sections, not a drop to the ground that would effectively kill them on impact. These soldiers gain double damage on successful attacks, using the falls momentum.
These soldiers can move up, down, and through the Rig's catwalks and stepped grates ignoring difficult terrain. Mark a Stress for the soldier to use this feature.
