About this weapon
Unstable Construction: Each time you fire the Boomstick, roll a d20 before making the attack. || 6 or higher: The weapon fires normally. || 5 or lower: The Boomstick catastrophically explodes. The attack fails, the weapon is destroyed (or becomes unusable until repaired, at the DM’s discretion), and every creature within close range of the wielder, including the wielder, must make an AGILITY roll, taking 4d6 fire and piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
