About this item
As an additional downtime move, you may choose to forage for ingredients that can be used in potioncraft. Roll a d4 and add your Instinct. You collect a number of ingredients equal to the result of this roll. For each collected ingredient, roll a d12 to determine its properties when used in a potion. Work with the GM to describe these ingredients and add them to your inventory.
1. Heal: Clear 2 Hit Points;
2. Soothe: Clear 2 Stress;
3. Empower: You gain a +2 bonus to your next damage roll;
4. Enhance Agility: You gain a +1 bonus to your next Agility Roll;
5. Enhance Strength: You gain a +1 bonus to your next Strength Roll;
6. Enhance Finesse: You gain a +1 bonus to your next Finesse Roll;
7. Enhance Instinct: You gain a +1 bonus to your next Instinct Roll;
8. Enhance Presence: You gain a +1 bonus to your next Presence Roll;
9. Enhance Knowledge: You gain a +1 bonus to your next Knowledge Roll;
10. Bolster: Double the effectiveness of all ingredients in the potion;
11. Invert: All ingredient effects become harmful (Mark a Stress or Hit Point instead of clearing it, receive a -1 penalty to the next Roll instead of a +1 bonus, etc.);
12. Choose one of the options above;
When you take the “Work on a Project” downtime move, you may create a potion using gathered ingredients. The number of ingredients you can include in a potion equals your Proficiency, and the project’s Countdown duration is equal to the number of included ingredients.
By default, a potion must be ingested to take effect. However, you may alter the potion for it to activate on contact or disperse as a gas and affect all creatures within Close range of the impact point. If you do so, double the project’s Countdown.
