About this guide

I’m Chris Davidson, one of the writers for Daggerheart!

I wrote the Custom Adversary section of the Core book and I’m here to help you making even more adversaries for Daggerheart!

  1. Looking for concrete numbers when making Adversaries?
  2. Want a guide that walks you through every step?
  3. Wish you had a library of common features to kick start your creation?

You’ll find all that and more in this guide!

The guide goes over each role in the book and breaks down their stats on a per tier basis and how to scale them. It also includes tips to help you quickly generate adversaries. You can even use the tables to make an adversary on the fly!

If you’ve already seen the google doc, this is most of that information, but formatted for readability and style. Layout by Alan Tucker.

One of the best 'how to build a monster that doesn't suck' guides I've ever had the joy of using.

The definitive guide to making your own Daggerheart adversaries. Essential for every GM, don't homebrew without it! Freely shared and often updated, RightKnight is genuinely spoiling us!

Literally cannot do what I do without the help of this guide. Every Daggerheart homebrew or third-party content creator should own this.

This document has been an incredibly invaluable tool and asset to reference. It goes into far more depth than the official homebrew packet, and it provides great insight into features and numbers to provide a quick and readable reference for building homebrew or modified adversaries.

Great write up. It's been helpful everytime I create some homebrew adversaries.

I think this a must-have supplement for any GM serious about running Daggerheart. Making your own adversaries is a lot of fun, and a great way to further customize your campaign to the vision of you and your players. This gives you tools to do so while keeping your homebrewed adversaries in line with what's in the core book. Really a great addition to any Daggerheart GM's library.

This is such a useful guide and the templates make eye-balling layout on the page easy. The whole guide is useful to have as quick reference point and has made the number crunching on Pistolheart's design a breeze. Would give it more stars if I could.

This does a great job distilling the core rulebook's advice for creating custom adversaries into one neat and practical package.
