Features

Passives

passive
  • Countdown (3)

If the countdown reaches zero, the party succesfully crosses the river. It cannot reach zero if a PC is *Drowning.*
PCs can make action rolls to cross the river. On a failure, take the Drown action.

  • Details

The river features several elements that might help players traverse part of the river with a successful action roll, on top of the ones they names:
    - broken rope bridge
    - shallow part
    - a small island
    - hanging vines

    Questions
    • What do you see protruding from the water?
  • Sunken Treasures

A *Drowning* PC can make a Strength Roll to try to retrieve one item that has sunk at the bottom of the river.
    - Lakestrider Boots (you can walk on water like it was soft ground)
    - Glamour Stone (spend 1 Hope to magically disguise yourself as someone you've seen before)
    - Suspended Rod (while activated, it cannot be moved, and doesn't abide by the laws of gravity)

Actions

action
  • Drown

One PC must make an Agility Reaction Roll, or start temporarily *Drowning.* Whenever a PC makes an action roll, all *Drowning* PCs mark 1 Stress.

  • Undertow
    Fear 1

Spend a Fear to have a *Drowning* PC hit a rock underwater. Roll 1d4 for the consequence:
    1. Mark 1 Stress. 2. Take 2d6+3 phy dmg. 3. Vault one Domain card (reroll if none). 4. An item becomes a Sunken Treasure.
