Vigilante

About this class

The vigilante is one who wishes to make the world a better place, but unfortunately finds themselves unable to do so openly. Perhaps they live in a repressive society or their social standing compels them to simply watch as atrocities and injustices play out before their eyes. Unable to take it anymore, they invent a new identity to do what they feel needs doing, while maintaining the facade of a calm and orderly citizen in other ways. The vigilante uses secrecy and darkness as their weapon, fighting both with blade and word to make the world a better place.

Class features

  • Two Faces

You have two identities, a “Social Identity” you use to interact with polite society in a diplomatic and thoughtful manner, and a “Vigilante Identity” you use to exact violent justice upon those you feel deserve it. Your two identities are regarded as two separate people; all actions performed by one identity are attributed to that identity alone, and you do not need to perform an action to maintain this divide unless someone is actively trying to link your two identities. You can mark a Stress to swap between the two identities, or you may do so during a Rest without using one of your downtime actions.
While in your Social Identity, you gain a bonus equal to your tier to all social and investigative actions. While in your Vigilante Identity, you gain a bonus equal to your tier to all combat and stealth actions.

Class items
