Since the dawn of time, mortals have been terrified of the monsters that hide in the dark, of the hidden forces that rule reality. Not you, you know where the foolish are fearful the wise are curious. Where others run from the shadows you dive headfirst into them, wielding ill-understood power to fight creatures only you can understand. To those you help, you a bright torch in the dark, protecting them with the brilliant light of truth. To those at the end of your spells and blades, you are a knife striking through the heart, killing with precision.

Spend 3 Hope to choose any number of adversaries in Close range and Invoke Your Talisman, the chosen adversaries must move until they Far range from you.

    When observing a creature you can make an Knowledge Roll against them. On a success, you gain one of the following sets of information from the GM.
    Their unmarked Hit Points and Stress
    • Their Difficulty and damage thresholds
    • Their tactics and standard attack damage dice
    • Their features and Experiences
    Additionally on a success you can mark a Stress to instead ask for two sets of information and Invoke Your Talisman

  • Shield of the Shadows

    Whenever you take damage, reduce it by the amount of Stress you have marked plus your Tier.
