Adversary overview

A huge plant monstrosity with fleshy tentacled roots, a fanged mouth and thorny vines, focussed on eating and growing.

This malicious plant monstrosities’ whole focus is to eat, grow and ultimately multiply. It disregards empathy and devours anything made of flesh and blood.
Its origin is unknown though rumours say it might have grown out of a tiny, harmless looking, hungry plant.

    Spend a Fear to eat a target in Close range. A PC must succeed on an Action roll of their choosing to avoid being devoured alive and considered Eaten. On a fail, start a Consequence Countdown (3). While Eaten, each time the PC rolls with Fear they mark 1 HP and tick down the Countdown by 1. When it hits 0, the PC must make a Death move, loosing the Eaten condition. Mawdrey then heals all marked HP. The Countdown ends prematurely when Mawdrey is defeated or the eaten PC is freed by a successful Action roll.

  • Spread the Seeds

    When Mawdrey II marks her last HP, her seed pods explode, spreading seeds in Very Far range. Eventually, these seeds will grow into new Mawdreys.
