Call of the Slayer

About these subclasses

A change to the Call of the Slayer subclass to give it more freedom while also emphasizing the “Slayer” part of the subclass. The Slayer feature no longer stores d6s, is not a named die, can apply after a roll’s result, and also applies to your Attack of Opportunity feature’s reaction roll. The Weapon Specialist feature always includes one of the secondary weapon dice (plus the added value) as part of a successful attack, can be pumped to include more dice once per rest (though AoO is worded strangely, this feature should apply to its damage option as well), and scraps rerolling 1’s on d6s since they are more flexible now. Finally, Martial Preparation has more abundant d6s that your party can gain while also letting the party use the d6s as you can, meaning that your own features that manipulate the dice are able to be used by your allies (such as Not Good Enough, your allies can use this feature with your d6s from Martial Preparation).

Call of the Slayer

Play the Call of the Slayer if you want to strike down adversaries with immense force.

Foundation

Slayer: After you make an attack roll, damage roll, or reaction roll with your Attack of Opportunity feature, you can spend Hope up to your Proficiency to roll an additional d6 per Hope spent.

Specialization

Weapon Specialist: You can wield multiple weapons with dangerous ease. When you deal damage with your primary weapon, add one of the damage dice and the damage value from your secondary weapon to the damage roll. Once per rest you may add damage dice from your secondary weapon equal to your proficiency instead of one die.

Mastery

Martial Preparation: You’re an inspirational warrior to all who travel with you. Your party gains access to the Martial Preparation downtime move. To use this move during a rest, describe how you instruct and train with your party. You and each ally who chooses this downtime move on a short rest gain d6s equal to the number of PCs that takes this downtime move. On a long rest, each PC that takes this downtime move gains d6s equal to the number of PCs in the party. PCs are able to use and manipulate these d6s as you are able.
