About this ancestry

Hawken are feathered humanoids who were initially uplifted from flock hunters like the Harris' Hawk. While their appearance ranges significantly – from fully avian heads with sharp beaks to more humanoid faces, still generally characterized by large-pupiled, birdlike eyes, keen features and prominent noses – they are always distinguished by their feathers. These can range from the earthy browns, deep russets, and striking white bands reminiscent of their ancestors, to a finer, downy coat, particularly on those closer to human in appearance. Roughly half their population possesses the distinctly avian facial structure.
