Call of the Swashbuckler
Play the Call of the Swashbuckler if you want to be a dashing charismatic fighter that will taunt foes and laugh in the face of danger.
Parry: When a creature makes an attack against you within Very Close range, you can spend a Hope to roll a d6 and increase your Evasion by the number rolled until you take the spotlight or mark a HP.
Taunting Smirk: Once per scene you can bait an adversary with a cutting remark or other insulting action. Make a Presence roll against the target. On a success, the target is Enraged until it makes you mark a HP. An Enraged target must mark a Stress if it targets a creature other than you with an attack.
Riposte: When your Parry feature causes an attack to miss, you can mark a Stress to make an attack with Advantage against the attacking creature. Afterwards you can move up to Close.
Charismatic Duelist: Once per scene, when you cause a creature to mark its last HP you can make a witty remark, quip, or speech. If you do so all allies gain a number of Hope equal to the HP the creature marked from your attack.
