Thornback Behemoth
Dragonlike, Predatory
Motives & Tactics: Stalks its prey and outwits them
Dragonlike, Predatory
The Thornback is a blind predator of the forest and relies on its other senses to detect prey and launch attacks. Any character making noise needs to be aware….not all predators need eyes!
Due to its blindness the Thornback relies on its hearing and smell to stalk its prey. If a character is speaking out loud or if it is making obvious loud noises the Thornback gains advantage on its attacks versus that character.
The Thornback may fade into the surrounding environment and become hidden unable to be targeted. On the next attack it makes the Thornback gains advantage on its attack and deals an extra 1d6 damage to the targets character.
The Thornback's spine is covered in spurs that can be ejected towards an enemy like a porcupine. These quills deal 1d12 damage and can target two enemies up to close range from it.
