About this environment
As you step into the area, the sky is empty and a bright cyan with the sun a blinding dot directly above. The ground under your feet is flat, perfectly so, and stretches out in all directions endlessly. The surface is pocked with thousands of circular holes that range from fist-sized to the size of a house, and each is filled with still water. Salt water by the smell in the air.
Under the water, you see that the ground above is a single ever-reaching shelf held up with craffy spires up from the darkness below. There are various platforms, many littered with the skeletons of great sea beasts. Shadows dart around in the water, but with the spotty light from above, it is nearly impossible to guess their location or size.
