Frost Wyvern

Tier 3 Solo Bruiser

A massive, leathery-winged predator with scales the color of a glacier and eyes that glow with a malevolent blue light. Unlike its warmer cousins, the Frost Wyvern exudes a supernatural chill that freezes the air around it, leaving a trail of rime and frost wherever it lands.

Motives & Tactics: Hunt, preserve territory, freeze intruders, overhead ambush.

ATK: +3 | Frigid Talons: Very Close | Damage: 3d10+5 physical.

Experience: Aerial Maneuvers +3, Winter Predator +2.

Features

Relentless (2)
Passive: This adversary can be spotlighted up to 2 times per GM turn. Spend Fear as usual to spotlight them.

Frost Breath
Action: Spend a Fear to erupt in a blast of freezing mist. Make an attack against all targets within Close range. Targets the Wyvern succeed against, take 4d8 magic damage and are Restrained until they succeed on a Strength or Finesse (17) roll.

Glacial Hide
Passive: When the Frost Wyvern takes physical damage, reduce it by 3.

Flash Freeze
Reaction: When the Wyvern takes Major or greater damage, you can mark a Stress to force all targets within Very Close range to make an Instinct Reaction Roll. Targets who fail become Vulnerable until they clear a Stress.

Tail Lash
Reaction: When a creature moves into Very Close range of the Wyvern, you can mark a Stress to make a standard attack against them. On a success, the target is knocked back to Close range.

For Flash Freeze, I would make the attack deal a Stress. It would be hard to remove your Vulnerable condition if you don't have any Stress to clear!

I ran it today and it created the fear I was hoping for but some of the mechanics didn't come into play
