The Shepherd’s personal disciples. On the path to ascension. They, too, wear hempen robes, theirs sown through with the same purple shimmering thread as the rest of the Shepherds of Shadow.
This unit generates the unique resources "Ascension" (max 1) and "Thread" (max 2).
Gain 1 Ascension on self when The Shepherd activates "Cast in violet, crowned in gold."
For every 1 Ascension on self, gain +1 Attack Modifier (max 1).
For every 1 Ascension on self, deal 2 extra damage (max 2).
Gain 1 Thread on self whenever this unit marks an HP.
Gain 1 Thread on self each time an allied unit is defeated.
Gain 1 Thread on self whenever an allied Horde takes damage.
Transfer 1 Thread on self to its target when this unit causes another unit to mark HP.
For every 1 Thread on self, raise all damage thresholds on self by 1 (max 2).
For every 1 Thread on self, raise Difficulty by 1 (max 1).
This unit cannot activate the experience "Ascension is coming...!" until The Shepherd reaches 2 Ascension on self. During this time, they may apply this experience to their rolls without spending the usual Fear, but doing so sets their difficulty to 8 until the Shepherd reaches max Ascension on self.
After the Shepherd activates the feature "Cast in violet, crowned in gold.", lose access to the experience "Ascension is coming...!"
