Features

Passives

  • Back In My Day

This clank has lived a very long time and, while much of that has been in a dormant state, they may remember details from the distant past. When a PC makes a Presence roll to ask about historical subjects that the Gatekeeper would have been around for, use the following results:

    • Critical Success: The Gatekeeper was somehow personally connected to the event in question and can give a detailed, first-hand account.

    • Success with Hope: The Gatekeeper remembers the event well, can give an account of what was happening at the time, and how the event affected the area.

    • Success with Fear: The Gatekeeper knows of the event but their knowledge is spotty.

    • Failure (Any): The Gatekeeper is unaware of the historical subject in question.

  • Gate-Bound

The power source for the Clockwork Gate is also the power source for the Gatekeeper. If they move into Far range of the Gate, they must mark a Stress; and, if they go beyond Far range, they lose power and collapse. Returning them to within Close range of the Gate will reactivate them.

Actions

  • Operate the Gate
    stress 1

Mark a Stress to have the Gatekeeper open or close the Clockwork Gate.

Reactions

  • Seal the Gate
    fear 1

When the Gatekeeper marks its last HP, you can spend a Fear to seal the gate permanently by activating a spell that welds all moving parts in place.
