Whenever the Beast would mark 2 or more HP, mark a Stress to cause the Red Muck to lash outward. All targets within Very Close range of the Beast or a Tentacle must make an Agility Reaction Roll.
- On a failure, a target takes 2d10+4 physical damage and marks a Stress.
- On a success, a target takes no damage. -
Lightning Surge
Countdown (Loop 3). When the Expanse Beast is in the spotlight for the first time, activate the countdown. It ticks down when a PC fails a roll or rolls with Fear. When it triggers, lightning arcs through the storm, channeled into the beast. All PCs within Close range of the Beast or a Tentacle must make an Agility Reaction Roll.
- On a failure, a PC takes 2d8 magical damage and marks a Stress.
- On a success, a PC takes half damage and no Stress.
The Beast is then resistant to Magic damage, until it it takes Major or greater damage, or until it has the spotlight again. -
Momentum
When the Beast makes a successful attack against a PC, you gain a Fear.
