KaniTumbo, The Eye of the Storm
Adversary overview
A colossal, primordial crustacean awakened by the Cult of the Forgotten Gods. As it rises, the Colossus draws storms to itself, turning the sky black and charging the air with lethal electricity.
The Colossus is a towering, island-sized crab whose stone-like carapace is etched with glowing, azure veins of electricity. At the center of its shell there are 8 radiant, blue eyes with pupils in the shape of a crescent moon. It possesses two distinct pairs of limbs: a massive, boulder-crushing set of primary claws capable of snapping galleons in half, and a smaller, unnervingly dexterous set of inner arms used to weave static shockwaves. Thunder cracks with its every step, and sea water cascades endlessly from its joints.

Features
Passives
-
Colossal Force
When the Colossal misses an attack, the GM gains a fear.
-
Eyes of the Storm
Countdown loop (8) - Whenever a PC rolls with fear, the Colossus draws that energy and closes one of its eyes. When all 8 of its eyes closes, the colossus draws down a lighting bolt that flashes the whole battlefield. Creatures within Close range of the point of impact take 8d12 Magical damage.
Each time an eye of the storm is destroyed, the countdown reduces its duration by 1 and the damage is reduced by 1 die. (i.e. countdown 7, damage 7d12). Once all eyes of the storm have been shut down, the colossus is disabled and its shell breaks open.
Actions
Reactions
-
Fossilized Shell
When marking its last stress, instead of becoming Vulnerable, KaniTumbo's shell quakes and its most damaged limb becomes frail and falls off. Once this occurs, the Colossus regains all its Stress back.

Eyes of the Storm – Passive: Countdown loop (8) - Whenever a PC rolls with fear, the Colossus draws that energy and closes one of its eyes. Eyes
Adjacent: Right Pincer, Left Pincer
Difficulty: 18 | HP: 8 | ATK: 0
Blink: Very Close | 2d8 magical
Features
Static Blink – Reaction: Whenever the countdown of Eyes of the Storm loops goes down by one, the eye that closes makes an attack roll against anything within Very Close range of it. On a success, the target gets flung back to Far range.
Right Pincer
Adjacent: Eyes, Right Claw
Difficulty: 20 | HP: 3 | ATK: 0
Pinch: Far | 3d6 physical
Features
Destructive Wave – Action: Spend a Fear to have the Pincer reach towards an area and clasp its pincer lighting fast. Any creature within Close range of the pincer clasp must succeed on an Agility reaction roll or take 3d6 Physical damage and have disadvantage on their next action roll.
Left Pincer
Adjacent: Eyes, Left Claw
Difficulty: 20 | HP: 3 | ATK: 0
Pinch: Far | 3d6 physical
Features
Static Tag – Passive: On a successful attack, Spend a Fear to forgo the damage and instead statically charge the target. The next time Eyes of the Storm hits an area, the static target takes half as much damage from the strike. This effect persists regardless of distance to the explosion radius
Right Claw
Adjacent: Right Pincer
Difficulty: 22 | HP: 3 | ATK: 0
Slam: Far | 3d10 physical
Features
Thunderclap Slam – Passive: Spend 2 fear to have KaniTumbo slam both its claws together and then drive its Right Claw into the ground with such force that spreads static in the whole area. Any creature within close range of the impact must succeed on an Agility reaction or take 4d10 physical damage and become affected by the Electrified Terrain. A success has the creature only take half damage and be pushed outside of the range of the terrain. While affected by the Electrified Terrain, any sort of movement made within the area (intentional or provoked), results in marking 2 stress.
Left Claw
Adjacent: Left Pincer
Difficulty: 22 | HP: 3 | ATK: 0
Slam: Far | 3d10 physical
Features
Thunderclap Guard – Action: The KaniTumbo snaps both its claws together and swipes its Left Claw across its face, creating a barrier of static electricity covering its eyes. Until either claw is destroyed, this barrier increases the difficulty of the Eyes by +4.
