Manifestation of a False Divine – Shadow of Elune (Horns)

Adversary overview

Colossal Enemy part. The regalia of the shadow of the moon, the horns of a divine beast form a halo above a false divine's head. You must not be swayed by it; such a crown is not a crown at all.

Colossal Enemy part. The arms reach outwards, ever-grasping, ever-gripping, ever-blindly seeking. One day, they will embrace all.

Those who reach for higher things will always reach higher, and higher, and higher. Their ambitions never end, their blind grasping forever tearing at the seams of the world around them. They may not do much damage now, but one day…

Features

Passives

  • There is only one moon in the sky (Part).

Every time another one of this unit's Parts is Spotlighted, this Part is also Spotlighted.

This Part is always Spotlighted first.

When this Part marks all HP, it is broken, and the Core marks 3 HP as if it suffered a Severe wound.

When this Part is broken, it may no longer take actions or reactions.

Breaking this Part does not cause the others to be broken.

  • That Which Pulls the Tide

This unit's Countenance attack always affects an area of effect extending to all hostile targets within Close range of itself. This part's attacks do not cause HP damage; when a target is hit by this attack, they are compelled to move towards this unit, and must either move within Melee range of this unit, or mark as many Stress as they would have been forced to mark HP. If the target is Restrained, they do not move closer, but mark 1 additional Stress from this attack. The amount of Stress marked from this attack can be reduced by marking Armor Slots as if it were normal damage.

Actions

  • Gravity of that Which Compels Awe.
    fear 2

This unit spends 2 additional Fear to use its Countenance attack on all hostile targets farther than Very Close range and within Very Far range. Any damage caused by this attack causes the target to mark an equivalent amount of Stress instead of HP. This damage can be reduced using Armor Slots. All targets hit by this attack, even if they reduce the damage to Nothing, must use the movement of their next action to move as close as they can to this unit without using an Agility check. If they are currently Restrained at the time of their next action, they must instead mark a Stress. If all of a target's Armor Slots have already been marked, damage dealt by this attack is automatically increased to the next threshold.

Reactions

  • Momentum

When this adversary makes a successful attack against a PC, you gain a Fear.
