Adversary overview

A robed spellbreaker trained to unravel arcane forces, he bend magical currents to shield their allies and suffocate hostile spellcasting at its source.

This adversary was designed as an anti-mage support unit, something that I found it lacks in the Core Book. It supposed to be a coward unit that protects behind other adversaries. My main inspiration was Hush, a level 5 Midnight Spell.

    Mark a Stress and choose an ally within Far range to create a barrier around them. Until they next take damage, they gain one of the following effects:

    - Resistance to physical damage
    - Resistance to magic damage

    An ally can only benefit from one Arcane Barrier at a time. Applying a new effect removes the previous one.

  • Veil of Silence
    fear 1

    Spend a Fear and choose a target within Far range. The target must make a Finesse Reaction Roll (14). On a failure, they are enveloped in arcane silence and cannot cast spells. The effect lasts until the Arcanist takes damage.
