A peccari matriarch with sharp tusks and thick skin ready to defend their Squadron
This fearsome animal is showing everyone who’s boss. Better not annoy it or trespass in its territory or taste the wrath of the sand.
The Peccari Matron of Dust deals direct damage to Vulnerable targets.
Mark a Stress to summon a Peccari Squadron. They immediately take the Spotlight.
Mark a Stress to maul a target in Very Close range. On a failed Strength or Agility Reaction Roll, the target takes 1d10+2 physical damage and is Vulnerable until they clear a HP.
Spend a Fear to cause all PCs in Far range to make a Presence Reaction Roll. On a failure, all targets mark 2 Stress as the Peccari Matron of Dust is using her fearsome stare on them.
Spend X Fear to force X targets to make an Instinct or Presence Reaction Roll. On a fail, dust devils appear below the targets that capture them in a rough tempest of sand and dust. A target caught in a dust devil is Vulnerable and must mark 1 Armor Slot in each of their spotlights. A target can repeat the Reaction Roll to try and break out of it. Every action (except Reaction Rolls) attempted while under the effect of this feature is done at disadvantage. Once the PC marks their last Armor Slot, the dust devil disappears. X is equal to the number of spent Fear.
