About this ancestry
Dark Fae are born or constructed with Fairy magic that has been twisted to awaken dead materials. The forms and shapes vary widely between different Dark Fae. Some are made up entirely of bones or deadwood, some are wearing toothed vegetables, such as pumpkins, as heads or are walking anthropomorphic mud beings. Their size range from 4 to 7 feet, depending on the various body shapes. It is hard to define the lifespan of a Dark Fae as they can lie dormant for decades at a time. If one were to count the years a Dark Fae is active, the total would average around 50 years.
Despite what their appearance suggests, Dark Fae are usually not malicious or destructive. They are sentient and empathetic beings with their own hopes and desires. They have learned to live with the reactions of ignorant folk who fear them. Their innate connection to death gave them the ability to bend Fear itself, focusing the world's misfortune on them to save others.

Fearbender: Once per session, when the GM spends at least one Fear for a GM move, spend a Hope to focus this move solely on you. Work with the GM on how your PC is changing reality to accomplish this feat.
Rustling Leaves: As long as you remain in direct contact to soil, mark a Stress to disappear where you are and reappear at a point up to Far range during your spotlight.
